Hessequa Municipality National Diploma and Graduate Internship Programme 2026

Hessequa Municipality is inviting applications from candidates who have successfully completed their National Certificate N6 in Information Technology at a TVET College or a relevant qualification from a South African university and require practical workplace experience.

The internship is offered for a fixed period of 12 months and is aimed at candidates who want to gain practical experience in Information and Communication Technology support services.

Candidates residing in the Hessequa region will receive preference.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have relevant certificates in Information Systems.

An A+ certificate is recommended.

Applicants must have a valid Code B driverโ€™s licence.

Applicants must be computer literate.

Applicants must be fit and healthy.

Technical Competencies

The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to be trained in first-line ICT support.

The candidate must be able to assist users with ICT-related queries and support needs.

The internship will provide exposure to installing PCs and peripheral devices.

The successful candidate may also assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Other technical exposure may include network cable installation, proactive equipment maintenance and IT asset management.

Who Should Apply?

This internship is suitable for TVET College students who have completed National Certificate N6 in Information Technology and need practical experience.

Graduates with relevant Information Technology or Information Systems qualifications from South African universities may also apply.

Applicants who are interested in ICT support, computer hardware, software troubleshooting, network support and IT asset management are encouraged to apply.
