The Hessequa Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who have recently completed a Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology to apply for the IT Intern position for 2026.
This is a short-term, four-month internship aimed at providing practical workplace exposure to young IT graduates residing within the Hessequa Municipal Area.
Internship Details
- Internship Title: IT Intern
- Internship Location: Hessequa Municipal Area, Western Cape, South Africa
- Contract Period: 1 March 2026 – 30 June 2026
- Employment Type: Temporary Internship (4 Months)
- Monthly Stipend: R5 000
- Closing Date: 6 February 2026

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Degree in Information Technology (NQF Level 7)
- Must reside within the Hessequa Region (proof of residence required)
- Recently qualified graduates are encouraged to apply

Important Notes to Applicants
- Canvassing of councillors, members of the Appointment Committee, or municipal staff will result in disqualification
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews
- Candidates arriving late for interviews will be disqualified
- If no feedback is received within three (3) months after the closing date, applicants may regard their applications as unsuccessful
- Successful candidates will be required to sign:
