Hitachi SA Bursaries 2023

Hitachi SA invites students to apply for Hitachi Kenkijin Bursary Programme 2023 academic year.

Bursary Application closing date is 16 January 2023

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the following fields:

  • Artisan Trades (Auto-electricians, Diesel Mechanics, and Millwrights)
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Bachelor of Science
  • BCom Accounting
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Students will receive 1 year of full funding, which includes:
Career counselling and mentorship as they transition from high school to university or from university into the working world, a LinkedIn “rock your profile” session, a personal laptop, a stipend and mentorship sessions with different coaches on selected growth topics.

Students may also have the opportunity to work for Hitachi in the future.

Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be South African citizen
  • You must be between 16 and 35 years old
  • You must be currently in Matric in 2022 or have completed Matric
  • You must have a strong academic record
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric, if completed Matric
  • You must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields listed above, in 2023
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in your current studies, if already studying
  • You must be in financial need

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Proof of admission or registration at an institution (on institutions letterhead)
  • Transcript/ proof of current tertiary record (on institutions letterhead)
  • Proof of address or letter confirming that you still live with your parents
  • Profile picture (Head and Shoulders)
  • Parents or guardians proof of income
  • Applicants under 18 years old: signed consent from your parent or guardian to apply for this bursary
