The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) is inviting applications for the position of Driver/Handyman at its Free State Provincial Office. This role offers a competitive inclusive remuneration package of R254,703.00 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and Transport Duties:
- Provide timely and secure transport services for staff, documents, merchandise, and official errands.
- Load and unload IEC merchandise, ensuring the safekeeping of goods and personnel.
- Complete transportation-related paperwork and maintain accurate travel logs.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and report any accidents or damage.
- General Maintenance:
- Perform basic maintenance tasks like plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and assembling furniture.
- Service equipment and facilities, including cleaning air vents, testing security systems, and scheduling necessary repairs.
- Additional Duties:
- Assist with various errands such as acquiring utensils, delivering supplies, and facilitating meal arrangements.
- Ensure upkeep of appliances, vehicles, landscaping gear, and building equipment.
Basic Requirements:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or junior certificate (Grade 10).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Good office administration skills and basic knowledge of maintenance protocols.
- Knowledge of the Free State province, including the ability to read maps and use GPS trackers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively.
