About Indalo Education Fund

The Indalo Education Fund was established by the Indalo Education Fund, founded by iNdalo Water Technologies (Pty) Ltd.

The name “iNdalo” means nature or environment in isiXhosa and isiZulu, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions.

Through this bursary, the Foundation supports young South Africans pursuing careers that contribute to sustainability, engineering, environmental management, and water governance.

Eligibility Requirements

Undergraduate Applicants Must:

  • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Have completed Matric
  • Be studying or intending to study in an approved field
  • Have a strong academic record (minimum 60% average)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Show interest in contributing to the water sector

Postgraduate Applicants Must:

  • Be studying towards Honours, Masters, or PhD
  • Have a minimum 65% academic average
  • Be enrolled at a South African university
  • Have a research proposal relevant to the water sector
  • Demonstrate commitment to the water sector

Failure to meet all criteria may result in disqualification.

Applicants must submit certified copies of:

  • South African ID
  • Undergraduate: Matric certificate
  • Undergraduate: Full academic record (if currently studying)
  • Postgraduate: Full academic record
  • Postgraduate: Research proposal relevant to the water sector
  • Proof of university registration or enrollment
