Ingrain Bursaries 2026: Apply Now for Engineering Studies

Ingrain is inviting students to apply for their Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year.

Fields of Study Covered

Bursaries will be awarded for BEng undergraduate degree studies in the following fields:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics

Through this bursary programme, Ingrain is investing in South Africa’s future talent, empowering students who are eager to build successful engineering careers.


What the Ingrain Bursary Covers

The bursary provides funding for:
Tuition fees
Textbooks
Accommodation (where applicable)

Please note: The bursary does NOT cover any outstanding fees.


Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)

To qualify, applicants must meet the following:

  • Be a South African citizen aged 18–34
  • Have completed Matric
  • Be studying towards a BEng degree in one of the listed fields
  • Be in your 1st to 3rd year of study
  • Be studying at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa
  • Not be funded by another bursary scheme
  • Be unemployed with proven financial need
  • Students living with disabilities are encouraged to apply

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 15 November 2025 and invited to interviews. If you don’t hear back by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.
