Fields of Study Covered
Bursaries will be awarded for BEng undergraduate degree studies in the following fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
Through this bursary programme, Ingrain is investing in South Africa’s future talent, empowering students who are eager to build successful engineering careers.
What the Ingrain Bursary Covers
The bursary provides funding for:
Tuition fees
Textbooks
Accommodation (where applicable)
Please note: The bursary does NOT cover any outstanding fees.
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)
To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
- Be a South African citizen aged 18–34
- Have completed Matric
- Be studying towards a BEng degree in one of the listed fields
- Be in your 1st to 3rd year of study
- Be studying at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Not be funded by another bursary scheme
- Be unemployed with proven financial need
- Students living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
