About the Ivanplats Bursary Programme
Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is developing a world-class mining project in Limpopo Province near Mokopane using advanced mechanised underground mining technologies.
The company is offering bursaries to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) from communities surrounding the Ivanplats Platreef Mine to help them further their tertiary studies.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Have completed Grade 12
- Be in first year or further years of study
- Be studying at a recognised South African university
- Reside within recognised Ivanplats mining communities
Duration of the Bursary
Successful candidates will receive bursary funding for:
- Undergraduate qualifications
- Maximum period of up to 4 years

- Be willing to work underground and on surface operations
- Be medically fit
