Bursary Overview
Jones & Wagener is offering a limited number of bursaries to support students pursuing careers in engineering, geology, and environmental sciences.
This bursary is awarded based on academic excellence, financial need, and company-specific criteria, making it highly competitive.
Fields Covered
The bursary is available for students studying:
- BEng / BSc Civil Engineering
- Geology
- Geochemistry
- Environmental Science
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary will cover at minimum:
- University tuition fees
It may also include:
- Accommodation
- Limited textbook allowance
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be Grade 12 learners or current university students
- Be studying or intending to study in one of the specified fields
- Achieve at least:
- 75% in Mathematics
- 75% in Physical Science
👉 Applicants with marks below 75% will not be considered
Selection Criteria
Bursaries are awarded based on:
- Academic performance
- Financial need
- Alignment with company requirements
Jones & Wagener also follows Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) guidelines in awarding bursaries.
Work-Back Obligation
Successful bursary recipients will:
- Be required to complete 6 weeks of paid vacation work at Jones & Wagener offices (Rivonia or Centurion)
- Work for the company after graduation for a period equal to the bursary duration
