These internships are aimed at providing practical workplace exposure, skills development, and hands-on experience within key municipal service areas.
Internship Programme Overview
- Contract Duration: Two (2) Years
- Stipend: R60 000 per annum
- Employer: KwaDukuza Local Municipality
- Employment Equity: Preference will be given in line with the National Employment Equity Act, with emphasis on local residents

Internship Programme: Community Halls Administration

Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- National Diploma or Degree in Public Administration / Public Management (NQF Level 6 or 7)
- Must be 35 years or younger
- Must not have previously participated in any internship programme
Duties / Training:
- Assist the Community Halls Section with daily operations
- Perform duties requiring long standing, walking, bending, carrying books, and pushing trolleys
- Gain valuable administrative and operational workplace experience
Internship Programme: Waste Management
- Duration: Two-Year Contract
- Stipend: R60 000 per annum
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Waste Management / Environmental Management or equivalent
- Must be 35 years or younger
- Must not have previously participated in an internship programme
Internship Programme: Beach Amenities
- Duration: Two-Year Contract
- Stipend: R60 000 per annum
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Environmental Management / Horticulture
- Must be 35 years or younger
- Must not have previously participated in an internship programme
