Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- NQF Level 4 qualification (Grade 12 / ABET / AET Level 3) or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA
- Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (handgun/rifle/shotgun)
- Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities)
- No criminal record
- Physical fitness
Added Advantages

- Experience in conservation management programmes
- Conservation training certificate or qualification from an accredited institution
Required Skills and Knowledge
Candidates should have:
- Knowledge of nature reserve management
- Knowledge of nature conservation legislation and policies
- Ability to use firearms

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Protecting nature reserves and natural resources
- Conducting conservation patrols and law enforcement operations
- Fence inspections and repairs
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Managing visitor behaviour in reserves
- Reporting non-compliance incidents
- Assisting with fire management services
- Monitoring biodiversity, habitats, and ecological processes
- Conducting ecological rehabilitation programmes
- Assisting with alien plant removal and bush encroachment programmes
- Supporting wildlife management programmes
- Assisting with game monitoring and management
- Supporting water provision and conservation management programmes
