Are you a recent high school graduate (Grade 12) interested in a plumbing apprenticeship?
Makhado Local Municipality, in partnership with MMSEZ, is offering a skills development initiative for unemployed youth residing within the Makhado Municipal area. This program provides an opportunity to acquire valuable skills and qualifications through a three-year plumbing apprenticeship.
Qualifications:
- Unemployed South African citizen residing permanently within the Makhado Municipality area.
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum qualification of N2 with Trade Theory or NCV Level 4 in a relevant field (certificates required).
- No prior internship program experience.
- Age: 18-34 years old.
Important Information:
- This is a learning and skills development program, not a permanent job offer.
- The program aims to prepare participants for the labor market or self-employment.
- The apprenticeship duration is 36 months (3 years).

- Clear criminal record certificate (stamp not older than 3 months).
- Proof of residence.
Selection Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
- Appointments are subject to security clearance, verification of qualifications, and signing a learnership agreement/apprenticeship contract.
- If you don’t receive a response from Makhado Municipality within 45 days of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
