This exciting 12-month internship is ideal for graduates who are passionate about technology, software development, artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
Successful candidates will work on leading brands such as News24, Netwerk24, Daily Sun and others—gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies, real-world AI projects, and collaborative team environments.
About the Media24 Technology Internship 2026
This internship is designed to develop the next generation of AI and software engineering talent. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to design, build and deploy intelligent systems and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and work with cloud platforms and advanced AI tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams
- Participate in the full lifecycle of AI development—from concept to deployment
- Develop scalable, efficient AI systems and models
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, AI frameworks and industry trends
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
- BSc Honours degree OR Electronics Engineering degree, or equivalent
- Subjects in Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or proven programming experience
- Minimum 65% average
- Preferably completed 2nd or 3rd-year Maths & Stats
- Must be a South African citizen
- Basic understanding of AI algorithms such as:
- Linear Regression
- Logistic Regression
- Random Forests
- Boosted Trees
- Multilayer Perceptron
Preferred Competencies
