Mintek invites qualifying students to apply for its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025, specifically for P1 and P2 experiential training within the Biometallurgy Division.

About the Programme

The Work Integrated Learning Programme (P1/P2) at Mintek aims to provide practical training to students in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, and Analytical Chemistry. The programme offers hands-on experience in a scientific and research-focused environment under the guidance of expert professionals.


Minimum Qualification and Experience

Applicants must:

  • Have an excellent academic record (minimum average of 60%)
  • Have completed S4 or S5 in one of the following fields:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Metallurgical Engineering
    • Analytical Chemistry

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • High numerical aptitude and analytical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail

Important Notes

  • Duration: 12 months (1 year)
  • Accommodation and transport to and from Mintek must be arranged by the candidate
  • Psychometric testing may form part of the selection process
