About the Internship
The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) is offering an Experiential Learner: Executive Support opportunity to qualified graduates who are passionate about supporting senior leadership in the public sector. This 12-month internship is renewable based on performance and budget, and offers a monthly stipend of R13,000 (Honours) or R16,000 (Masters).
Minimum Requirements
- Honours Degree in Office Management, Public Management or a related NQF Level 8 qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting senior management in the public sector
- Valid driver’s license
- Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of public sector operations, governance frameworks, and legislative processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organising skills and professional etiquette (email & telephone)
- Stakeholder management and confidentiality
- Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Project
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and manage meeting logistics and protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Support executive engagements through minute-taking and distribution
- Organise meeting refreshments and logistics
- Assist in maintaining official protocol standards
- Manage and build relationships with stakeholders
- Contribute to cross-functional projects
