Moses Kotane Research Institute Digital Centre Facilitator Programme 2026

The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is offering Experiential Learner opportunities for Digital Centre Facilitators across various digital centres in KwaZulu-Natal.

This programme is designed to provide practical ICT workplace experience to graduates with qualifications in Information Technology and related fields.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R7 000 for the duration of the 24-month programme.

Digital Centre Locations

Successful applicants may be placed at the following centres:

  • Inkosi Iangalibalele Digital Centre
  • Edumbe Digital Centre
  • Umkhuze Digital Centre
  • Kokstad Digital Centre
  • Impofana Digital Centre

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in:
    • Information Technology
    • Or related field
  • 0–2 years ICT facilitation experience

Added Advantage

  • Valid driver’s licence

This opportunity is suitable for recent graduates and entry-level ICT candidates.


Required Skills and Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheet applications
  • Presentation software
  • Computer hardware and software maintenance
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Database maintenance
  • Programming languages such as Java
  • Electronics maintenance
  • Office administration

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitating ICT training at Digital Centres
  • Monitoring learner attendance and performance
  • Supporting learner development programmes
  • Performing administration and reporting duties
  • Assisting Digital Centre Supervisors
  • Supporting digital literacy initiatives within communities
