My Vote Counts seeks to appoint one Electoral Systems Intern and one Communications Intern to be based in Cape Town. This a 6 months paid partime position. Interns will be expected to work 3 days a week.
The following Internships are open for applications:
Electoral Researcher Intern
- Should have completed or be enrolled in an honours or masters programme in politics,
- public policy, law or any other related field.
- Research experience is required.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must display an interest in South African politics and social justice.
- Must be able to take initiative, work independently and in a team.
Communications Intern
- Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing a must
- Proven written articles or other content (please forward portfolio or links to your work)
- The ability to come up with engaging content and ideas around the work we do Social media experience
- WordPress or other web publishing skills preferable
- A keen interest in politics a must
- Knowledge and or interest in advocacy advantageous
- Great interpersonal skills a must
- Ability to build and maintain relationships a must
- Proficiency in another language other than English advantageous
