National Treasury: Chartered Accountants Academy Graduate Internships 2024

National Treasury invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Chartered Accountants Academy Programme 2023 / 2024.

Location: Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban

Stipend: R424,104 per annum (all-inclusive)

Programme Purpose:

The National Treasury’s Chartered Accountants Academy (CAA) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for its 2024 Graduate Intake. This three-year full-time training contract provides trainees with an opportunity to develop the Professional Values, Attitudes, and Acumen (PVAA) proficiency in pursuit of the Chartered Accountancy CA (SA) profession.

About the Graduate Programme:

The National Treasury’s Chartered Accountants Academy offers a three-year full-time training contract aimed at helping trainees develop Professional Values, Attitudes, and Acumen (PVAA) in pursuit of the Chartered Accountancy CA(SA) profession.

This Graduate Development Programme is designed for university graduates who have completed, or are in the process of completing, their degrees in 2023. Candidates selected for this programme will be exposed to the public sector to address skills shortages and will be involved in financial management transformation and policy development.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or equivalent qualification that meets SAICA requirements to write the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) in January 2024.
  2. Candidates who are in the process of completing their General Accountants (GA) qualification or the final year of an equivalent qualification can apply.
  3. Proof of academic results.
