Job Vacancy: Client Services Consultant

Job Purpose: To provide administrative services to clients by attending to transactional, lending, and investment needs to achieve Nedbank’s strategic focus on becoming a client-centric bank.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Build relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing service in line with Nedbank standards.
  2. Collaborate with internal customers to improve customer service delivery and productivity.
  3. Compile client information, ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and procedures before submission to Operations for vetting.
  4. Monitor internal processes and report on their effectiveness.
  5. Provide feedback to internal stakeholders, meeting internal Service Level Agreements requirements.
  6. Utilize resources by adhering to Nedbank policies, procedures, and standards.
  7. Manage risk by protecting client confidentiality in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
  8. Contribute to a culture conducive to achieving transformation goals and support corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  9. Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend improvements to tools, policies, and procedures.
  10. Stay abreast of legislation and industry changes impacting the role.
  11. Understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values, demonstrating them through interaction with the team and stakeholders.
  12. Ensure own contribution aligns with team goals.
  13. Create and manage own career growth through guidance and support from management, department, and colleagues.
  14. Improve personal capability by identifying training courses and career progression.
  15. Ensure knowledge management, continuity, and team success through constructive participation in a diverse team.

Minimum Experience Level: 3 – 5 years’ experience in a client services consultant role in the financial industry.

Essential Qualifications – NQF Level: Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Preferred Qualification: Business-related degree in Banking and Investment Management.
