Petra Diamonds is offering internships programme for the academic year 2017 in the Mining Sector. This is 12 months long internship programme and the successful interns will receive a monthly stipends during their placements.

  • A BSc degree with Environmental specialisation
  • Valid Public Drivers’ License Code EB (08)

  • Grade 12
  • A 4 year degree (including B Tech degree) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Follow a programme to gain workplace experience in the field of organisational development
  • Execute project – based work related to succession planning and human resource development
  • Work in designated areas according to the Mine’s Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work according to the applicable Policies and Procedures
  • Submit progress reports to supervisors for assessment

Skills and Competencies

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Show initiative and be self – motivated
  • Report writing skills
