- Chemistry (x3)
- Microbiology (x4)
- Hydrobiology (x2)
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric qualification
- Successful completion of two years of theoretical training for the relevant National Diploma
- South African citizenship with a valid SA ID Document
- Age under 35, in accordance with the NSDS
- No prior participation in experiential learning programs
- Application must include:
- Application Letter and Curriculum Vitae
- Recommendation letter from the Tertiary training institute
- Certified copies of ID Document and training record including academic transcript
Primary Duties:
- Application of ISO 17025 principles
- Collecting samples for water quality monitoring
- Preparation and analysis of samples
- Documentation and checking of results
- Quality control checks
- Maintenance of equipment and instrumentation
- Adherence to SHE practices and good housekeeping principles
Knowledge:
- Sound theoretical knowledge in relevant fields
Skills:
- Effective writing and verbal communication
- Computer literacy in Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan
Attitude:
- Self-motivated and output-driven
- Ability to handle pressure and routine work
- Interaction with staff and customers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and public holidays
