Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) invites South African students to apply for the Rheinmetall Resonant South Africa Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year.
The bursary aims to support and develop highly skilled engineering talent in South Africa by empowering exceptional engineering students and addressing the country’s shortage of specialised technical skills.
Fields of Study Covered
Bursaries will be awarded for Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degrees in the following fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
More About the RDM Bursary Programme
Successful bursary recipients will receive financial support towards their studies. After completing their BEng qualification, students may also be offered an opportunity to join the highly regarded RDM Engineering Graduate Programme, designed to build a strong foundation for a long-term engineering career.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria (failure to meet all requirements will disqualify your application):
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying full-time towards a BEng degree in one of the fields listed above
- Must be entering 3rd or 4th year of study in 2026
- Must be enrolled at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in the current academic year
