Lerato’s single is getting airplay. She gets Zinzi out of trouble at Kilowatt, not knowing that she’s Doc’s daughter. Puleng overhears Suffocate telling the guys that he is going to be there 100% for his family.
Niki wants to know why Suffocate doesn’t have a will. Zondi tells Shakes that he had noticed how infatuated Mampho was with him.

Suffo’s will prompts an uncomfortable realisation in him. Sifiso tries to convince Doc that they need to bring out an album by Lerato. Mampho is nervous ahead of her date with Shakes.

Zinzi asks Doc what happened with Lerato. Zondi coaches Shakes on how to flirt with Mampho. Zinzi and Lerato get drunk again and start sharing secrets. Sifiso is freaking out that he cannot cash in on Lerato’s popularity with an album. Niki sneaks a look at Suffocate’s will.

Niki is furious about Suffocate putting Puleng in his will. Lerato realizes just how paralysed she is by Doc’s contract, but she receives surprising news. Reneilwe discovers that Shakes is using Mampho.

Puleng and Suffo agree that their night of passion was a one-off thing. Lerato forces her way into Red and demands her MIA tickets. Shakes discovers that Mampho’s position as an intern is really too low to help Zondi’s artists get on air.

Niki starts to suspect that Suffo is seeing someone on the side. She shares her fears with Bash. Zinzi and Lerato form an unlikely friendship. The rift between Reneilwe and Mampho widens.

Doc clashes with Zinzi over Lerato’s show. Shakes feels guilty about manipulating Mampho. Bash advises Niki to ensure that Suffo doesn’t stray. Doc shuts down Lerato’s big performance.

When Lerato runs out of options, she goes to David and asks him what his offer entails. Zinzi questions Thandeka on why Doc is so unreasonable about Lerato. Puleng has not given up and makes it very clear to Suffocate. Shakes stands up to Zondi, but Mampho is unforgiving.

Mampho is still feeling heartbroken about Shakes. Puleng is becoming increasingly aggressive in her determined pursuit of Suffo. Lerato accidentally lets slip to Zinzi about her history with Doc.

Suffocate’s aunt is concerned about the state of Suffocate’s home, she challenges Niki. Bash calls Suffocate on his relationship with Puleng. Thandeka defies Doc and brings Lerato back to finish recording her album. Mampho is unhappy with being friend-zoned.

Doc hits the roof when he finds out that Thandeka is finishing Lerato’s album. Suffo’s aunt tells him why she is in Johannesburg. Mampho encourages Shakes to follow his dream of being a DJ. Niki and Suffocate clash heads.

Doc intervenes and improves Lerato’s song. Puleng wants to know where her relationship with Suffo is going. Mampho tries to make up for embarrassing Shakes in front of DJ Sax.

DJ Sax agrees to put in a good word with Zolani on Shakes’s behalf. Doc remains firm on his decision to deny Lerato her night at the MIAs. David finds himself missing Lerato. Suffo battles to keep both Niki and Puleng happy.

Mampho hatches a plan to poison DJ Sax and replace him with Shakes. Doc announces a new project that will require him to work with Zolani. Suffo asks Niki to be patient with his aunt.

Suffocate’s aunt picks up on the tension between Puleng and Niki. Thandeka and Zolani are forced to work together to cope with a visiting artist from West Africa. Shakes wants to give up on this go-it-alone thing and return to Zondi.

Episode 2099
Suffocate’s aunt confronts Suffocate on his association with Puleng. Puleng is heartbroken and infuriated by Suffocate pushing her away. Doc and Lerato find themselves drawn together.
Thandeka and Zolani grow closer together but are still not able to surrender to their feelings. Mampho poisons DJ Sax in an effort to help out Shakes.

Episode 2100
Mampho manages to get Shakes in at 9-Nine as a replacement. Niki is forced to ask Puleng for help with the mbeleko ceremony. Zinzi accuses Doc of treading the same ground with Lerato that he did with her mom.

Thandeka and Zolani click on the work front. Puleng realises that although Suffo wants to be with her, he will always put Niki and Busi first. Niki finds a make-up smudge and smells a perfume on Suffo’s shirt. Shakes’s first ever DJ stint gets off to a stilted start.

Mampho and Shakes grow closer. Doc agrees to let Lerato attend the MIAs. Niki realises that Puleng is the woman Suffo has been seeing on the side.

Suffo confesses to Niki, and is determined to sort things out. Reneilwe is having pre-MIAs wardrobe anxiety, and Sifiso is putting pressure on her to have sex with him. Shakes gets another big career break.

Episode 2104
David arrives at the MIAs and despite Doc’s worries, wishes Lerato the best. She ends up having to step in at the last moment and perform a duet on stage. Niki is hiding out with the Khuses.
Suffo’s aunt tries to persuade him to see this as a sign that he should move to Puleng. Shakes hosts the radio show, with the help of Mampho.

Lerato surprises the industry and herself with her performance at the MIAs. Doc and Lerato share a connection. David tries to steal Lerato’s shine.
Ntombizodwa, Suffo’s aunt interrogates Puleng on her intentions. Suffocate goes to the woman he feels most beholden to. Reneilwe is open to give herself to Sifiso.
Rhythm City is on e.tv Mondays to Fridays at 19h00.
