About the Richards Bay Minerals P1/P2 Work Integrated Learning Programme 2026
The primary objective of the P1/P2 Work Integrated Learning Programme is to provide practical workplace experience to students who need experiential learning in order to complete their qualifications.
Successful learners will participate in a structured workplace-based learning programme at Richards Bay Minerals, gaining valuable technical and professional experience within the mining and minerals sector.
Fields of Study
Applications are invited from students studying in:
- Engineering Disciplines
- Humanities Disciplines
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed South African youth
- Be final-year students at a University of Technology
- Have Grade 12 / Matric
- Possess a valid South African Driver’s License (Code B minimum)
- Require P1/P2 training to complete their qualification
- Have never completed previous P1/P2 or vacation work experience
- Reside within the King Cetshwayo District Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following:
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Stamped letter from University of Technology confirming P1/P2 requirement (minimum 12 months)
- Certified copy of Matric Certificate
- Certified Statement of Results from the University of Technology
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Certified copy of valid South African Driver’s License
- Certified Proof of Residence / Domicile Address
