About the Packaging Learnership Programme
The Packaging Learnership Programme is a one-year fixed-term contract designed to provide learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience.
Successful learners will be enrolled in a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF Level 3). The programme integrates:
- On-the-job learning (practical workplace experience)
- Off-the-job learning (theoretical training)
The learnership is aligned with SAQA-registered unit standards and assessed according to nationally recognised outcomes and performance criteria.
Key Outputs and Responsibilities
Learners will:
- Participate in a structured learning programme combining theory and practice
- Complete theoretical components during off-the-job training
- Apply learned theory in a real manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate competence in the workplace through continuous assessments
Learnership Characteristics
- Leads to a nationally recognised qualification on the NQF
- Based on SAQA-registered unit standards
- Focuses on value-adding, workplace-relevant skills
- Uses multiple assessment methods to evaluate workplace competence
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and English
- Technical qualifications (N3, N4, N5, or N6) will be an added advantage
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work and interact effectively within a team
