South African National Parks invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Technical Services Internship Programme 2026.

About the Internship Programme

This internship is offered within the Technical Services Department at Garden Route National Park and is designed to provide practical engineering-related experience in a conservation environment.

Interns will gain exposure to:

  • Infrastructure maintenance
  • Construction and repairs
  • Environmental asset management
  • Public sector engineering operations

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to enter civil engineering or building-related careers.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Civil Engineering
    • OR Building

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be unemployed
  • Have not previously participated in an internship programme
  • Have no permanent work experience
  • Be willing to relocate if required

Preference will be given to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI/HDSA).
