SANRAL ICT Logistics Internship Programme 2026
SANRAL is offering a 24-month ICT Logistics Internship aimed at giving graduates practical workplace exposure within a State-Owned Entity environment.
The programme is designed to help interns develop knowledge and practical experience in logistics functions, including stock management, asset support, dispatch, distribution, inventory control, reporting and stakeholder support.

Internship Objective
The internship aims to provide graduates with a work-integrated learning platform where they can gain practical experience in the logistics environment of a State-Owned Entity.

Stock and Asset Support
Under the guidance of the GM: ICT Strategy and Innovation, the intern will assist with:
- Receiving stock, equipment and consumables.
- Recording received items.
- Issuing tagged stock and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate stock records.
- Reporting shortages.
- Reporting stock discrepancies.
Dispatch and Distribution
The intern will assist with:
- Preparing parcels for dispatch.
- Dispatching items to customer service centres.
- Dispatching items to toll plazas.
- Supporting mobile operations vehicles.
- Distributing items to internal teams.
- Tracking deliveries.
- Confirming receipt with relevant stakeholders.
Inventory and Warehouse Support
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular stock counts.
- Updating inventory registers.
- Helping maintain organised storage areas.
- Ensuring storage areas comply with safety requirements.
Mobile Operations Support
The intern will assist with:
- Preparing stock for mobile operations vehicles.
- Supporting operational readiness.
- Replenishing operational supplies.
Documentation and Reporting
The programme also provides exposure to administrative logistics functions such as:
- Preparing delivery notes.
- Preparing stock transfer forms.
- Maintaining dispatch registers.
- Updating systems.
- Assisting with weekly logistics reports.
- Assisting with monthly logistics reports.
Stakeholder Support
The intern may be required to:
- Respond to stock-related queries.
- Respond to logistics queries from internal teams.
- Escalate operational issues to the Logistics Supervisor where necessary.
Compliance and Safety
The successful candidate must:
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- Comply with internal stock-handling procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ensure proper record keeping.
