Santam, South Africa’s largest general insurer, invites talented and motivated students to apply for the Santam Bursary Programme 2026.

This opportunity is part of Santam’s Skills Development Academy aimed at developing future-fit skills in the short-term insurance industry.

Who Should Apply?

The bursary is open to South African citizens who will be in their 2nd, 3rd, final undergraduate year, or doing Honours in 2026 in the following fields:

• Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics
• Agriculture
• Civil, Geomatics, Mechanical Engineering
• Construction
• Insurance Technical, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics
• Risk Management

Bursary Covers (Capped):

• Registration and tuition fees
• Accommodation (including deposit and admin fees)
• Learning materials (books and e-manuals)
• Laptop
• Monthly allowance
• Travel/transport allowance

Selection Criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Strong academic performance: minimum 65% average
• Motivation for a career in the short-term insurance industry
• Specific eligibility requirements for Agriculture applicants (details available on application page)
