About the Learnership Programme

This is a 36-month Learnership Programme combining:

  • On-the-job practical training
  • Structured institutional learning
  • Workplace readiness development

Learners will gain industry-recognised artisan skills aligned with Sasol’s operational standards at Secunda Operations (EOP).


Available Learnership Fields

Opportunities are available in the following trades:

  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Instrumentation
  • Electrician
  • Chemical Plant Operator

Successful candidates will be placed according to operational requirements.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A completed National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent
  • A pass in:
    • Mathematics or Technical Mathematics
    • English or Business English
    • Physical Science or Technical Science

Applicants must meet all subject requirements to be considered.


Core Programme Elements

Successful learners will be required to:

  • Participate fully in the learnership programme
  • Successfully complete all assessments
  • Participate in workplace readiness activities
  • Comply with safety and operational standards
