Position Overview:

  • Purpose: To train and develop as a qualified Millwright in line with the relevant SETA (QCTO) and NAMB standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Training & Competence Development: You will gain expertise in plant maintenance, understanding equipment/systems, and adhering to safety management systems (e.g., IMS, MBO).
  • Emergency Procedures & Safety: Participate in risk assessments, hazard identification, and root cause analyses (RCAs) to improve safety and plant operations.
  • Work Management: Support business goals by managing work assignments, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a leader in team efforts, assist with work instructions, and contribute to the overall maintenance strategy.
  • Performance Improvement: Participate in quarterly performance appraisals and contribute to personal development.

Requirements:

  • Formal Education: Matric/N3 or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 0–1 relevant years.
  • Skills:
    • Nimble learning and self-development.
    • Workflow management, action planning, and adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Strong ability to coordinate work, ensure accountability, and improve performance.
