The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026. These opportunities are aimed at providing practical workplace experience and professional training to graduates and N6 certificate holders.

SASSA Internship Programme 2026
The Internship Programme is available for applicants who hold a Degree, B-Tech, or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or 7) in relevant fields.
Successful candidates will be appointed on a 24-month internship contract and will receive a monthly stipend of R7 860.50.

SASSA Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme is intended for applicants with an N6 National Certificate who require workplace exposure to complete their qualifications.
Successful candidates will be appointed for an 18-month programme and will receive a monthly stipend of R5 639.75.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must have the relevant qualification for the post applied for
- Must be willing to work in East London, Eastern Cape
- Must not have previously participated in a similar internship programme

Important Notes
