Internship Responsibilities
Participants in the SGS YES Internship Programme will:
- Assist with fieldwork and laboratory tasks, including sampling and testing
- Perform calculations and apply test methods accurately
- Clean the site or workshop after completing tasks
- Ensure work areas are free from consumables and materials used during tasks
- Follow all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system
- Report irregularities, deviations, and non-conformance issues
- Perform tasks assigned by supervisors or laboratory managers
Interns will also gain experience in operational procedures, safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science required)
- Proficiency in English
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID
- Must be between 18 and 33 years old
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must not have participated in a YES programme before
- Must have no criminal record
- Must be willing to relocate to Barberton or Randfontein
