Sorbet Academy invites South African students to apply for the Sorbet Academy Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year.

About the Bursary Provider – Sorbet Academy

Sorbet Academy is the training and development division of the Sorbet Group. The academy offers accredited beauty and grooming programmes across South Africa, focusing on practical, hands-on skills development.

Training areas include nails, skincare, makeup, hairdressing, and men’s grooming through Sorbet Man. The academy is aligned with recognised bodies such as SETA and ITEC, ensuring that qualifications meet industry standards. Graduates are well prepared for real-world careers, with opportunities for employment within the national Sorbet salon network.


About the Sorbet Academy Bursary Programme – Fields Covered

Sorbet Academies is inviting applications for bursary funding for the 2026 academic year.

Studies will take place at Sorbet Academy campuses located in:

  • Woodmead (Gauteng)
  • Mount Edgecombe (KwaZulu-Natal)
  • Century City (Western Cape)

The bursary supports studies in the following fields:

  • Barbering (men’s grooming)
  • Beauty
  • Hair
  • Nails

Sorbet is looking for students whose dream is to work in the beauty industry and who are eager to gain hands-on training, industry knowledge, and clear pathways into the profession.


Eligibility Requirements for the Sorbet Academy Bursary

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements (failure to meet all requirements will result in the application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be interested in studying in one of the listed fields
  • You must be keen to pursue a career in nails, beauty, hair, or barbering
  • You must be able to study at a Sorbet Academy campus in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, or the Western Cape

There is no application form to complete for this bursary.
