Internship Overview
The South African State Theatre (SAST) is offering exciting 12-month internship opportunities within the SAST TV and Stages departments.
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R6,270 and gain practical experience in media, production, and performing arts environments.
Available Internship Positions
Graphic Designer Internship ×1
- Department: SAST TV
- Reporting to: Associate Producer
- Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Graphic Design or related field
- 0–1 year relevant experience
- Portfolio required (PDF or link)
Producer Internship ×1
- Department: SAST TV
- Reporting to: Associate Producer
- Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Media, Film & TV Production, Performing Arts, Theatre Production, Communication, or Journalism
- 0–1 year relevant experience
Sound Technician Internship ×1
- Department: Stages
- Reporting to: Senior Production Manager
- Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Sound or related field
- 0–2 years relevant experience
Videographer Internship ×2
- Department: Stages
- Reporting to: Senior Production Manager
- Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Film and Television or equivalent
- 0–2 years relevant experience
Minimum Requirements (All Positions)
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in a relevant field
- 0–2 years relevant experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
