About STET: STET is an NGO founded in 2017 with a mission to empower black young South African women in and towards the Basic Education sector. They offer teaching qualification bursaries, mentoring, support, and training in various subjects, including STEM, in primary and secondary schools.

Bursary Benefits: The STET Bursary offers full support for aspiring educators, with a focus on STEM subjects, and aims to empower women in the field of education.

Eligibility/Selection Criteria: This bursary is available to the following groups of black South African women:

  • Those studying to become teachers.
  • Those who already have teaching qualifications or diplomas.
  • Unemployed black South African women who want to study for a teaching qualification.
  • Employed teachers at early childhood development, primary, or high school levels, or at a tertiary institution who wish to further their education.
