About the Teraoka SA Technician / Apprentice Opportunity
The successful candidates will assist with service calls, installations, label deliveries and cheque collections within the designated geographical area of the branch.
The role also involves applying SABS quality procedures, servicing equipment and supporting customers with technical issues.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science; or
- N3 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Own vehicle.
- Technical experience.

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Attending to service calls.
- Carrying out repairs on equipment.
- Fixing problems logged on the system.
- Verifying and sealing scales where appointed as a Verification Officer.
- Working according to NRCS / SABS quality systems.
- Ordering required spare parts through the Service Manager.
- Installing relevant software on equipment.
- Ensuring scales operate correctly.
- Supporting new equipment installations.
- Maintaining Service Level Agreements with corporate customers.
- Selling labels and equipment where possible.
- Conducting six-month preventative maintenance on contracted scales.
- Maintaining standard equipment.
- Reporting completed calls to the branch.
- Reporting completed calls to the Helpdesk.
Technical Duties
The role may involve working with:
- Weighing equipment.
- Scales.

- Service and repair equipment.
