About the Programme
The Apprentice Fitter & Turner programme offers hands-on training and technical skills development in mechanical fitting and turning, preparing participants for a career in the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and maintain mechanical parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment
- Maintain high-quality production standards
- Keep the work environment clean and safe
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum N2 Certificate with the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Engineering Drawing
- N3 Mechanotechnology or N4 Mechatronics will be advantageous
Skills and Competencies
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
