Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is inviting applications for the Sector Specific Trainee Programme 2025 based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

About the Programme
The Sector Specific Trainee Programme provides unemployed youth with an opportunity to gain valuable skills and workplace exposure. Successful candidates will be placed in areas aligned with their academic qualifications, career aspirations, and TPT’s operational needs.
The programme includes:
- A structured 12-month training programme.
- Ongoing performance reviews and assessments.
- Mentorship and coaching from senior professionals.
- Exposure to the operational environment of Transnet Port Terminals.
Preference will be given to applicants residing in the King Cetshwayo District.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- TVET N6 in Logistics/Transport (advantageous).
- South African citizenship.
- Reside in or near Richards Bay will be an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Sector Specific Trainee, you will:
- Follow the structured training programme.
- Participate in regular performance reviews and assessments.
- Carry out all duties outlined in the development plan.
- Perform additional tasks as reasonably required by TPT.
