About Unisa Semester 2 Registration 2026
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has opened Semester 2 registration for undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas with semester modules.
Students who want to study through Unisa must complete the registration process online before the closing date.
Who Can Register?
New applicants and Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and accepted the offer online.
Re-registering students must register for the 2026 academic year during the relevant registration period.
Unisa may not process or may cancel a registration if it is found that a student was incorrectly admitted to a qualification.

Students must follow these registration steps:
Step 1: Find Your Qualification and Choose Your Modules
Students must first confirm their qualification and select the modules they want to register for.
Step 2: Calculate Your Study Fees
Students should calculate their study fees before completing registration to ensure they understand the required payment amount.
Step 3: Complete and Submit Your Registration
Registration must be completed and submitted online through the Unisa registration platform.
Step 4: Pay Your Study Fees
Students must pay the required initial minimum payment before the deadline so that registration can be finalised.
Step 5: After Registration
After registration has been finalised, students must activate their free Unisa myLife e-mail account.
Important Information About myLife Email
Unisa provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address.
Students are responsible for activating their myLife e-mail account as soon as registration is finalised.
The myLife e-mail account is the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university. It will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.
How to Add Additional Modules
Students who are already registered and want to add additional modules must log in to myUnisa.
They should then:
- Choose the myAdmin link
- Click on Student Admin
- Click on Register Additional Modules
