University of Johannesburg Applications Forms for 2016 – University of Johannesburg (UJ), home to the UJ Hoopoe and over 50 000 students. UJ is one of the largest, multi-campus, residential universities in South Africa. UJ was founded in 2005 after the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) and the Technikon Witwatersrand (TWR) merged.
UJ has four campuses – the Auckland Park Kingsway, Auckland Park Bunting Road, Doornfontein and Soweto campuses – all located in the metropolitan area of the City of Johannesburg.
Each campus is different as they vary in size and each have their own character, culture and rich sense of diversity.
