Internship Overview
The University of the Free State (UFS) is offering 4 Finance Internship positions on an 18-month contract within its Finance Department.
This internship provides graduates with valuable exposure to financial systems, accounting processes, and administrative functions in a university environment.
Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience working with financial transactions, data capturing, and account management.

Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will gain exposure to and perform the following tasks:
- Process transactions using PeopleSoft
- Capture financial data
- Journalise corrections and account changes
- Manage accounts and respond to general enquiries
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the UFS Internship Programme 2026, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or B-Tech Degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting
Selection Criteria
Applicants must:
- Not be currently participating in another internship or learnership
- Have no formal work experience
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Be willing to sign an internship agreement
- Not attend classes during office hours (if currently studying)

- Computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
