Key Responsibilities
As a Preparatory Intern, you will gain exposure to a range of educational responsibilities, including:
- Classroom Support: Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and one-on-one student support.
- Sports Coaching: Helping to coach a variety of sports and encouraging teamwork and skill development.
- Academic & Extracurricular Activities: Participating in and assisting with the school’s full-day academic, cultural, and sporting programme.
- Collaboration: Working alongside experienced educators and coaches to achieve the school’s goals.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student at a South African university, studying towards a B.Ed, PGCE, or related qualification.
- South African citizenship is required.
- Must provide a clear Criminal Clearance Certificate.
- Proof of year-end academic results must be submitted.
Advantageous:
- Experience in an ISASA school or with the IEB curriculum.
- Exposure to a boarding school environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
