VBKOM Bursaries 2025
VBKOM invites South African qualifying students to apply for Bursary Programme for 2025 academic year.
Bursary online application closing date is 12 January 2025.
VBKOM is offering bursary opportunities for the 2025 academic year to students pursuing studies in selected fields.
Fields of Study
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies in:
- Geology
- Industrial Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Mining Engineering
Bursary Coverage
The bursary provides full coverage for:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
In addition to financial support, bursary recipients may have the opportunity to gain vacation work experience at VBKOM’s discretion.
This bursary is renewable annually, subject to satisfactory academic performance, and students must submit their semester marks for review.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have completed Matric.
- Be studying towards a qualification in one of the listed fields.
- Be in 2nd year or higher of study.
- Achieve a minimum overall average of 60%.
- Be hard-working and inquisitive.
How to apply
To apply, follow these steps:
Step 1: Complete the VBKOM Bursary Application 2025.
Step 2: Submit the following supporting documents via email to bursaries@vbkom.co.za.
Ensure your Name and Surname (as per your ID) appear in the email subject line.
- Certified copy of your ID document.
- Full academic record/transcripts (on the institution’s letterhead).
- Tuition or accommodation fees statement.
Note: The submission of these documents is mandatory. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
