VKB Group Bursary Programme 2027
VKB Group is inviting motivated students with strong academic results to apply for bursary opportunities for the January 2027 intake.
The bursaries are available to both Grade 12 learners planning to begin their studies in 2027 and tertiary students who are already studying towards one of the relevant qualifications.
Three bursary opportunities are currently advertised.
Fields of Study Covered
The VKB Group Bursary Programme 2027 covers the following qualifications:

Minimum Requirements for Grade 12 Learners
Grade 12 applicants must have a valid South African ID and a National Senior Certificate with a minimum overall average of:
70%
Applicants must also upload their latest Grade 11 results together with their current Grade 12 results.
Minimum Requirements for Tertiary Students
Students who are already studying must:
- Be enrolled at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
- Achieve at least a 60% average in their major subjects.
- Submit a complete academic record, including their 2026 results.
Additional Requirements
Successful bursary applicants must be willing to complete vacation work at one of VKB’s regional head offices.
Applicants must also be willing to relocate after completing their studies where potential employment or work-back obligations require it.
Fluency in both English and Afrikaans, spoken and written, is required.
VKB Agricultural Economics Bursary 2027
The Agricultural Economics bursary is available for students studying or planning to study:
BCom Agricultural Economics with Risk Management

BSc Agricultural Economics
The bursary is based in Reitz and is intended for the January 2027 intake.
VKB Economic Sciences Bursary 2027
This bursary is available for students studying:
BCom Economic Sciences specialising in International Trade / Marketing
Grade 12 learners planning to start this qualification in 2027 and existing students who meet the academic criteria may apply.
VKB Mechanical Engineering Bursary 2027
VKB is also offering a bursary for students studying or intending to study:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng)
or
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
specialising in:
Mechanical Engineering
