About the York Timbers Internship Programme
The York Timbers Internship Experience Programme is a 12-month structured workplace training programme designed to provide graduates with practical exposure in the forestry and timber production sector.
This programme forms part of the FP&M SETA Future Perfect Skills Development initiative, aimed at improving employability and preparing graduates for careers in forestry, safety, and production environments.
Internship Overview

- Stipend: R3,000 per month

- Production Foreman (1)
- Safety Officer (3)
Internship Fields Available
Production Foreman Internship
- Support production planning and workflow coordination
- Assist with timber harvesting and processing operations
- Learn production logistics and operational management
Safety Officer Internship
- Assist with workplace safety inspections
- Support compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Participate in hazard identification and reporting
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed
- Be aged 18 – 35 years
- Be a South African citizen
- Have a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
- Be willing to complete a 12-month internship
- Be a resident of Mpumalanga
