Free State Provincial Treasury Graduate Internship Programme 2026
The Free State Provincial Treasury is offering 15 graduate internship opportunities through a 24-month programme supported by the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET).
The programme is aimed at unemployed graduates who have successfully completed relevant qualifications and who have not previously participated in an internship programme.
Preference will be given to eligible youth applicants who reside in the Free State Province, provided they meet the minimum requirements.

General Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed the qualification required for the internship they are applying for.
Where a qualification certificate has not yet been issued, applicants must submit an official academic transcript together with a letter from the relevant institution confirming successful completion of their studies.
Applicants who have previously participated in any internship programme will not be considered.
If it is discovered during recruitment or after appointment that an applicant previously participated in an internship and failed to disclose it, the internship contract may be terminated immediately.
What the Graduate Internship Programme Offers
Successful candidates will undergo a structured programme of on-the-job training, workplace learning and professional development within the Free State Provincial Treasury.
The programme aims to provide practical experience aligned with each intern’s qualification, exposure to departmental systems and procedures, and an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a workplace environment.
The programme is also intended to improve graduate employability and readiness for entry into the formal labour market.
