Liebherr is offering a four-year structured apprenticeship programme for young people who want to gain practical technical training and build careers in the engineering and heavy equipment industry.

The Liebherr Engineering Apprenticeship Programme is available in the following four technical fields:
- Earthmoving Equipment
- Mechanics
- Automotive Electrical
- High-Voltage Electrical
About the Liebherr Apprenticeship Programme
The programme runs for four years and combines structured workplace training with practical technical development.
Successful applicants will gain exposure to engineering operations, equipment maintenance, fault finding, electrical systems and other technical activities related to their chosen trade.
The apprenticeship is suitable for young people who are interested in engineering, mechanics, electrical work and maintaining heavy machinery.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following:
- A minimum of Grade 11 with Mathematics and Physical Science; or
- An N2 qualification with Mathematics and Engineering Science.
Important: Mathematical Literacy will not be accepted in place of Mathematics.
Applicants should also:
- Be unemployed.
- Have an interest in engineering and technical trades.
- Be willing to complete the full four-year programme.
- Be prepared to work in a practical engineering environment.
- Be willing to learn and follow workplace safety procedures.
Programme Duration
The Liebherr Apprenticeship Programme will run for:
Four years
During the programme, apprentices will receive structured technical and workplace training in their selected engineering field.
Who Should Apply?
