Maruleng Municipality is inviting applications for Financial Intern X5 positions within the Budget and Treasury Directorate.
The internship programme is offered on a two-year contract and is aimed at graduates who want to gain practical workplace experience in municipal finance.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in a financial-related field of study.
The qualification must include majors in one or more of the following fields:
Accounting.
Finance.
Auditing.
Applicants must be computer literate.
Good communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will be required to sign an employment contract with the municipality.
Applicants must be prepared to undergo security clearance and disclose financial interests.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will assist with preparing bank reconciliations and cash flow.
They will process payments for goods and services.
Interns will provide support with revenue and debt collection.
They will also perform asset barcoding and asset verification.
Successful candidates will assist with the compilation of the municipal budget.
They will coordinate acquisition processes and procedures.
Interns will prepare requisitions for goods and services.
They will also compile monthly reports.
