Studietrust Bursaries 2016

Studietrust Bursaries 2016

Studietrust grants two categories of bursaries:

♦    Partial Bursaries:
Partial bursaries cover around 50% of the total cost of studying per year. They are mostly sponsored by private sector companies, trusts or foundations. The balance of study-related costs must be covered from alternative means (e.g. a NSFAS loan).

For more information on the selection criteria and application procedure of these bursaries, please go to “Sponsored bursaries”.

♦    Full-cost Bursaries:
Full-cost bursaries cover all study-related costs according to a formula prescribed by the donors.
For more information on the selection criteria and application procedure of these bursaries, please go to “Sponsored bursaries”.

Please select the category you want to apply for and submit only one application. You will be considered for all bursaries you qualify for.Application Date: 2016 Application Season: 06 May – 30 September 2015

*  The online feature will only be available from July as your mid-year results are needed for the application.

♦    Pre-screening

  • When you click the “apply online” button at the bottom of this page you will land on our pre-screening page. Here you should enter your latest school results to see if you qualify for any of our bursaries. You will also need to know at what type of institution you would want to study, e.g. TVET College, Agricultural College, University of Technology or University.
  • You will be asked to select one of the bursary types we offer. Information on all the bursary programmes we administer is available on our website. If you are not sure which option to select, please select the Studietrust bursary. We will consider all applications we receive for all bursaries we administer.
  • Submit your latest results. If you are currently in Grade 12 or busy with tertiary studies, please provide your latest (June / mid-year) results.
  • The system will verify whether you qualify before you take all the trouble to complete the application form.
