University of Fort Hare Applications Forms for 2016 – The University of Fort Hare, dating back to 1916, is the oldest historically black university in the country. It was the academic home of many of South Africa’s most prominent leaders, including Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Govan Mbeki, and Mangosuthu Buthelezi. Fort Hare has two Eastern Cape campuses, in Alice and East London. It offers a range of degrees and diplomas in faculties of science and agriculture, social sciences and humanities, management and commerce, and at the Nelson R Mandela School of Law.

Application Forms 2016

Every prospective student shall apply for admission to a programme offered by the University on the prescribed application form. The form of application must be completed in detail and signed by the prospective learner and his/her parent or guardian if he/she is a minor.

The completed form must be sent to the Registrar by the date stipulated below, together with the prescribed application fee. The final decision regarding the admission of an undergraduate candidate will be taken in January, when the Grade 12 results are available. The University will confirm the candidate’s admission in writing.
