Idwala Industrial Holdings is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Engineering Learnership Programme 2025. The learnerships will be based at the company’s Carbonates Operation in the Northern Cape.

Available Learnership Fields
Successful candidates will be trained in the following trades:
- Diesel Mechanic
- Instrument Mechanician
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Boilermaker
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed Matric with Mathematics and English (minimum 40%)
- Physical Science will be an added advantage
- N2 with 4/5 subject passes in the relevant discipline OR NCV Level 4 in an appropriate trade
- Be 18–35 years old and currently unemployed
- Must be medically fit in terms of MHSA 29 of 1996
- Willingness to work in a mining/heavy industrial environment
- Prepared to work shifts if required
- Must be a South African citizen (preference given to applicants from Port Shepstone)

- Successfully complete assessments to progress through the programme
